The Forecross ReDirect COBOL product is a fully automated Migrations solution that upgrades your programs from older versions of COBOL, such as COBOL II or COBOL VS, to a newer year 2000 compliant version of COBOL, such as COBOL/370 or COBOL for MVS. In all other respects the programs remain functionally identical to their original COBOL counterparts. The Forecross automated COBOL upgrade reduces the time, cost and risk associated with other conversion alternatives and results in consistent, error-free, standardized code.

All older version COBOL programs and copybooks are converted to new release COBOL programs and copybooks. Our ReDirect COBOL product provides for several user upgrade options including:
  • Renaming of programs and other components
  • The type of library control cards to be used for programs and copy members (e.g. IEBUPDTE, CA-Librarian, CA-Panvalet, etc.)
