San Francisco, California: Forecross® Corporation, a legacy-to-web and XML implementation solutions company announced today its FALCON III (Forecross Automated Legacy CONversion) environment. This new release provides enhanced support for conversions to C#, .NET, VB .NET, IBM EGL (Java), and .NET COBOL.
FALCON is the centerpiece of the company’s ability to migrate large applications in a “lights out”, fully automated manner. This breakthrough technology allows Forecross to convert entire systems with hundreds or even thousands of programs overnight without operator intervention. Paired with achieving “lights out” operational status, FALCON III also provides a distinctively “lights on” level of status reporting and tracking, making the results of all operations visible to managment. Of particlar value to Forecross customers, FALCON has built-in automated incident detection, e-mail incident notification and escalation, management reporting, integrated shipment configuration and management, and it is integrated with the complete Forecross Migration Project Methodology.
FALCON offers many advantages over other approaches to automated application transformation. It is no longer adequate to merely automate the conversion of a customer’s code and data. The entire process of inventory collection, scheduling, conversion, error tracking, communication and status monitoring must be automated. If the execution and delivery mechanisms surrounding the conversion software are manual, then speed, consistency and quality are compromised.
