| SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Forecross® Corporation (VSE-FRX.U), a
leading legacy Migration and year 2000 solution company, announced today that it has
signed a contract to analyze and renovate for year 2000 compliance, over 2 million lines
of code of Micro Focus COBOL code belonging to a BDM International client. The new
contract agreement stems from the recent teaming partnership wherein BDM can use the
Forecross Complete/2000TM
solution and its fully-automated factory in San Francisco to address the Year 2000
renovation needs of select customers. Cynthia
Jennings, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at BDM says, "The Companys
systems inventory cross a diverse range of languages. As a tool independent service
provider, using Forecross enables us to meet many clients renovation needs."
"The industry has lost sight of the fact that a large
percentage of the billions of lines of COBOL internationally is either old COBOL, prior to
1985 released versions, or versions with nuances not analyzed or renovated by most Y2K
vendors. Micro Focus COBOL is one example of this type of COBOL variation," said
Bernadette C. Castello, Vice President and CFO of Forecross Corporation.
The Forecross flagship year 2000 product, Complete/2000,
assesses and renovates all versions of COBOL. The Company analyzes and automatically
renovates COBOL running on Micro Focus, MVS, HP, VM, VSE, AS/400, UNIX/AIX, DEC, Wang and
Tandem platforms. In addition, a factory service called ReDirect automatically upgrades
COBOL programs written in older versions prior to ANSI 85 COBOL II so that they will
compile successfully under the new year-2000-compliant and COBOL compilers, such as
COBOL/370 and COBOL for MVS. Beyond the language of COBOL, Complete/2000
assesses and renovates C, C++, PL/I, PowerBuilder, CA-Easytrieve, REXX, IMSADF II, APS,
CSP, CA-ADSO, CA-Telon, CA-Ideal, Clist and CA-UFO.
