Carpenter has been named to the Board of Directors of Forecross® Corporation (VSE-FRX.U),
a leading legacy Migration and year 2000 solution company. Mr. Kim O. Jones, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board, commented,

Mr. Carpenter, who was educated in Electrical Engineering at
MIT, has been actively participating in the software industry for the past 29 years. He
began his tenure in the software industry as a co-founder of Index Systems in 1969. Index
Systems is now CSC/Index. In 1983 he co-founded and served as President and CEO of Index
Technology Corporation until its merger with Sage Software in 1991 to form Intersolv
Software.

15 years in automating the Migration of software from one environment to another places it
in a strong position to provide high quality, rapid turnaround, automated year 2000
renovation services to its clients," observed Mr. Carpenter.
Currently Mr. Carpenter is president of Carpenter Associates,
a small consulting firm which provides strategic planning and product marketing assistance
to early stage software companies. His particular interests are in custom software
development tools, methodologies to improve the software development process, software
which leverages emerging hardware technologies and the utilization of technology to
facilitate the learning process. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of two companies
which he co-founded: Corex Technologies Corporation and Healthcourt Technologies Inc.
